Hello,
I am the great grandaughter of Melinda Riley and John L
Hunt. My grandparents were Tillie Jay Hunt and Ethel Mims. I am trying to
find where John L and Melinda are buried. I know John L died in 1931, but I
have been unable to locate his grave site. The biography printed in he
Southern Star when J.E.Z. Riley died in 1935 mentioned Melinda as a
surviving sister living in Cottondale, FL. I don't know what happened to her
after that.
I know that has been a long time ago, but I was hoping
someone might have some information they could share.I have spent hours on
your website, and have really enjoyed the information here. I am a little
disappointed, though, that I am not in the indian side of the lineage! My
mother and aunts have always told us we were descended from an indian
princess!!.........I guess they didn't know ;-)
