The comet was acquired visually using a 40 mm eyepiece by manual slewing
south from M44. The multiple
exposures were combined by aligning on the star field in the background.
Consequently, the comet appears as a triple exposure, showing the
motion over a 30 minute period. The
elapsed time from the first to the last exposure was about 35 minutes. |
